The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kido throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ono sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kido misses with a looping right.
Kido takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Ono connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kido tries to clinch but Ono is having none of it.

Kido throws a looping overhand right but Ono ducks down to avoid it.
Akihiro Kido seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kido throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ono's waist but Ono gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kido off to one side.

Ono lands with a kick to the temple. Kido shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
