Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Todd Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Kempe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes into the arena with Dethklok - The Gears blaring out of the sound system. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Todd Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Kempe!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kempe tries to avoid it but Johnson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kempe to the ground. Kempe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kempe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Johnson is fending him off so far but Kempe persists. Nope, Johnson circles away and we're back to standing.
Johnson loads up on a big right hand but Kempe slips the punch.
Johnson fails to land the takedown.
Kempe fails with an attempt to clinch.
Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Todd Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Johnson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Todd Johnson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kempe shoots in for a double leg but Johnson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Johnson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kempe is looking to stand up but Johnson isn't so interested in that idea.
Johnson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Johnson is breathing heavily.
Kempe working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Johnson.
Johnson postures up in Kempe's guard and throws a big left but Kempe blocks it.
Kempe wants to stand up but Johnson is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kempe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick misses from Johnson.
Johnson swats away the attempt to clinch by Kempe.
Johnson tries a head kick but it misses.
Johnson takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Todd Johnson has been cut.
Johnson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kempe cracks the inside of Johnson's front leg.
Kempe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kempe fails in his attempt to clinch.
Johnson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Johnson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A head kick by Johnson misses
and Kempe decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Johnson's guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kempe wanted to stand there but Johnson had control of the position.
Kempe is trying to land a reversal but Johnson doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle. Johnson is tightening it up though! This could be trouble for Kempe! Kempe trying desperately to escape but he's gone limp! He's out! Wooooorld class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu from Johnson!
