Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Get Backer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastien SOBO (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sebastien SOBO is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Excellent takedown into side control there by SOBO.
Backer is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Backer prevents SOBO from improving his position.
Backer is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Backer is keen to just control but SOBO is a slippery customer.
Backer stalling away here and it's allowed SOBO to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Backer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

SOBO manages to capitalize on a mistake by Backer to take his back!

Backer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Backer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
