Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jan Janssen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jae Darko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Janssen comes into the arena with Orgineel Amsterdam blaring out of the sound system. Darko has chosen Gasolina as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Jan Janssen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jan Janssen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jan Janssen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Janssen fails with the takedown.
Janssen takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Janssen has a takedown stuffed.
Jae Darko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Darko tries to close the distance and clinch up but Janssen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Janssen shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Darko tries to roll over but Janssen keeps him under control.

Darko keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Janssen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Darko is just riding it out for now. Janssen eventually gives up the hold.

Janssen is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Darko sees it coming and defends easily.
Darko is looking for a sweep. Janssen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Janssen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Darko is trying to maintain the position but Janssen is very close to passing his half guard.
Darko is pressing down on Janssen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Darko is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Darko takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Janssen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Darko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Darko trying to control but Janssen is working from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Janssen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Darko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Darko wants to control from the top but Janssen keeps moving.
Darko is looking to stand up but Janssen won't let him.

Janssen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Darko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Darko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Janssen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Darko defends well.

Darko stands up and waves to Janssen to follow him.

Janssen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Janssen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Darko is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Darko can't do much from the bottom here.

Janssen cracks Darko with a big right hand but Darko just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Janssen working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Janssen is breathing heavily.
Janssen tries to move to mount but Darko blocks the move with his legs.
Darko is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Janssen's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Janssen is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Darko scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Darko lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Janssen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Darko finds it's way round the side to connect with Janssen's head.
Darko swings for the body but Janssen moves out of range.
Darko dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Janssen. That did some damage!
Janssen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Darko tries to avoid it but Janssen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Darko to the ground. Darko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Darko cracks Janssen with a good jab.
Darko wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A head kick misses from Darko.
Janssen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Darko connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Janssen shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Darko defends it nicely.
Janssen slips under a jab.
Darko throws a lazy right hand but Janssen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Janssen needs to keep his hands up - Darko had a free shot at his head there.
Darko connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Darko misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Darko misses with a straight left.
Darko tests Janssen's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Darko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Janssen was well out of range. Poor timing from Darko.

Darko tries for a takedown but Janssen circles away easily
and Janssen counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Janssen is looking to work some ground and pound but Darko has wrist control.
Janssen wants to pass the guard but Darko is keeping the position.
Janssen trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Darko is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Janssen drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Janssen as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Darko screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Janssen! Nice submission victory there!
