Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Antonio Chavez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muhamand Ti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chavez comes into the arena with La Bamba blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chavez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Muhamand Ti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ti moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Ti with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Chavez to score with a decent uppercut.
Chavez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Chavez fails to land with a series of punches.
Chavez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ti moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ti shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Chavez wants to get up but he can't break Ti's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Ti is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ti is pressing down on Chavez's thigh, looking to free his foot. Chavez is holding on for now.

Ti is taking a breather. Chavez says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Chavez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ti is working away from the top position though.

Chavez tries to get to full guard but Ti has control of the leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Chavez tries to clinch up but Ti circles away and keeps his distance.
Ti fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ti clinches up with Chavez and pushes him back against the cage.
Ti manages to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chavez is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Ti is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Chavez throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Ti pushes Chavez off looking to stand but Chavez dives back in and keeps control.

Chavez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ti has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chavez has managed to get both his arms back between Ti's legs - danger averted.
Chavez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ti swivels though and keeps the full guard.

and Ti decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chavez's guard.
Ti wanted to stand there but Chavez had control of the position.
Chavez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Chavez seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Ti bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ti goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Chavez rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Ti's guard! Nice work there by Chavez!
Chavez stands up from Ti's guard - Chavez perhaps looking for a knockout.
Ti shoots in for a double leg but Chavez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Chavez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ti walks away with a smile on his face. Chavez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Ti looks for a takedown but Chavez sprawls well.
Antonio Chavez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muhamand Ti.
Chavez clinches but Ti breaks the clinch
and Ti moves into the clinch.

Ti jumps guard but Chavez stands there with Ti around his waist. Ti gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Chavez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Ti drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Chavez tries to bench press Ti off him but Ti keeps the position.

Ti is looking to take a break and control but Chavez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ti thows a huge punch but Chavez dodges it nicely.
Well, if Ti is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ti seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Chavez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Muhamand Ti is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Muhamand Ti comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Ti has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
