Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roope Hartikainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spike Spiegel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hartikainen comes to the cage accompanied by Tony . Spiegel has chosen Cowboy bebop theme as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Roope Hartikainen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Spike Spiegel! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hartikainen keeps the fight on the outside. Hartikainen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hartikainen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Spiegel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hartikainen. Spiegel is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hartikainen. Hartikainen tries to bum rush Spiegel with a series of wild strikes but Spiegel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hartikainen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Spiegel.

Spiegel fails to land the takedown. Spiegel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hartikainen sprawls well. Hartikainen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Spiegel gets slowly back to his feet. Spiegel is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hartikainen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Roope Hartikainen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spike Spiegel. Spiegel looks gassed! Hartikainen misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spiegel takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Hartikainen thows a left - swing and a miss! Hartikainen fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Hartikainen getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Hartikainen throws a leg kick that misses. Hartikainen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Spiegel circles away quickly and effectively. Hartikainen throws a right and a left that Spiegel avoids nicely. Some wild striking there from Hartikainen.
Spiegel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Spiegel is trying desperately to land a takedown but Hartikainen is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Spiegel. Hartikainen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Spiegel. Spiegel shoots in for a takedown but Hartikainen shows good takedown defense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hartikainen tries to bum rush Spiegel with a series of wild strikes but Spiegel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Spiegel walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Hartikainen lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hartikainen looks to land a combination but Spiegel avoids it well. Hartikainen throws a series of punches but Spiegel avoids them all with ease. Spiegel blocks a jab. Roope Hartikainen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hartikainen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Spiegel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hartikainen tries to avoid it but Spiegel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hartikainen to the ground. Hartikainen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hartikainen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hartikainen lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Spiegel instigates a clinch. Hartikainen has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spiegel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hartikainen throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Spiegel shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hartikainen pinned against the cage. Hartikainen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Spiegel dodges the punch combination from Hartikainen.
Spiegel fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hartikainen. Hartikainen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hartikainen throws a series of punches but Spiegel moves out of range. Spiegel gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Spiegel keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hartikainen's efforts to push away. Hartikainen lands a nice uppercut. Spiegel tries to pull guard but Hartikainen holds him up against the cage and eventually Spiegel drops back down to his feet.
Spiegel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hartikainen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Spiegel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hartikainen as he avoids it easily. Hartikainen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Some wild striking there from Hartikainen.
Hartikainen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hartikainen wants it to stay on the feet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hartikainen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Spiegel tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hartikainen swivels and escapes. And thats the end of the round the fighters go back to their corners.
Roope Hartikainen dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Spiegel slips a jab from Hartikainen. Hartikainen throws a body punch but Spiegel moves out of range. Hartikainen swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Spiegel throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hartikainen's waist but Hartikainen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Spiegel off to one side. Spiegel ducks under a wild hook from Hartikainen. Hartikainen misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hartikainen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Spiegel closes the distance and clinches up with Hartikainen, looking for a takedown. Spiegel pushes Hartikainen against the cage but Hartikainen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A decent looking cross lands there for Hartikainen. Hartikainen uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Spiegel is rocked! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hartikainen is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Spiegel hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
