Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mr Ripley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Obi Kanobi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ripley comes to the cage accompanied by The Talented Mr. Ripley - Tu Vuo' Fa l'Americano . There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Kanobi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ripley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kanobi's guard.
Ripley postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Kanobi wriggles free and stands up.
Kanobi tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ripley swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ripley keeps the fight on the outside.
Ripley looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kanobi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Ripley looks to land a combination but Kanobi avoids it well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

and Ripley counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Kanobi is trying to stand up here but Ripley is controlling him well.

Ripley uses his free foot to push down on Kanobi's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kanobi.
Ripley is going olschool here, as he tries to force Kanobi to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kanobi shrugs it off.

Ripley wants to finish this one by submission but Kanobi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ripley.

You get the feeling that Kanobi really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Ripley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Ripley jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kanobi manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Kanobi is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Ripley is controlling him well.

Ripley seems to be looking for submissions.
Kanobi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Ripley's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Ripley's back!

Ripley is trying to get back to his feet but Kanobi has full control of the position and if anything, Ripley has just worked his way into a worse spot.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ripley has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Kanobi.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kanobi is looking to control Ripley but Ripley is wriggling around and keeping busy.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kanobi is not going to allow Ripley to sit and survive in this position.
And that's the end of the fight!
Mr Ripley showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ripley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
