Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jay Colmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kung Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lao has chosen Mortal Kombat-Techno Kombat as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Colmen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kung Lao!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Colmen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Colmen shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Colmen takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Colmen throws a series of punches but Lao moves out of range.
Good work by Colmen as he checks the leg kick.
Colmen ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lao moves away.

and Lao counters with a head kick. That will keep Colmen thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Colmen misses with a double jab.
Colmen avoids the head kick by Lao.
Jay Colmen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lao looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Colmen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Colmen throws a right hand that Lao ducks under and follows up with a left that Lao also avoids with ease.
Colmen lands a really nice looking cross but Lao seems unphased.

Lao checks the leg kick nicely there.
Lao takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Colmen wants to clinch but Lao slips to the side
and Lao counters with an inside leg kick.

Lao looks to score with a jab to the body but Colmen is just out of range.

Lao lands a nice leg kick that just misses Colmen's sensitive parts.

Lao fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Colmen sprawls well initially but Lao persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The fighters are battling for position here. Colmen manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Lao postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Lao is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Lao wants to control from the top but Colmen keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Despite being in the dominant position, Kung Lao just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

and Lao counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Colmen!

Lao is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Colmen is surviving well by controlling Lao's body position as best he can.

Kung Lao showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Colmen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lao.

Lao takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Lao connects with a good right hand that stumbles Colmen. Colmen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Colmen misses with an uppercut. Lao saw that one coming.

Lao looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Lao passes the guard and advances to mount!
Colmen is working to get back to half guard.

Lao takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lao cracks Colmen with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Kung Lao comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lao winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
