Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fumando Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Von Hammerstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Dick Von Hammerstein was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dick Von Hammerstein! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Von Hammerstein connects with the punch. Von Hammerstein scores with a three punch combo!
A swing and a miss from Von Hammerstein. Sanchez wants to clinch up but Von Hammerstein keeps it at a distance. Sanchez fails with the takedown. Sanchez doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Von Hammerstein's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Von Hammerstein duly obliges. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Von Hammerstein! Von Hammerstein's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Sanchez sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Von Hammerstein is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Sanchez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Sanchez misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Von Hammerstein's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Von Hammerstein is trying to escape the mount but Sanchez keeps good control and instead manages to take Von Hammerstein's back.

Sanchez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Fumando Sanchez just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Sanchez shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Sanchez stops Von Hammerstein from getting back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez uses his free foot to push down on Von Hammerstein's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Von Hammerstein. Von Hammerstein tries to buck Sanchez off but Sanchez takes his back! Von Hammerstein is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Sanchez.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Von Hammerstein has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The referee stands the fighters back up. Fumando Sanchez just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Von Hammerstein misses with a two punch combination.
Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Von Hammerstein swats him away and circles back towards the center. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sanchez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Von Hammerstein was covering up waiting for the punch and Sanchez finishes the takedown easily into guard. Sanchez is stalling in the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dick Von Hammerstein will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Sanchez. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Von Hammerstein tries to escape but Sanchez is in control. A lull in the action here. Sanchez tries to advance to mount but can't. Sanchez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Von Hammerstein is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Sanchez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanchez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Von Hammerstein is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Sanchez has knee on belly and moves into mount. Von Hammerstein is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Von Hammerstein is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sanchez controlling from the full mount. Poor strikes thrown by Sanchez there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Sanchez shoots for a double leg takedown but Von Hammerstein sprawls well. He's pushed Sanchez's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sanchez takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Von Hammerstein gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Von Hammerstein manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Fumando Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Von Hammerstein throws an overhand right that lands on Sanchez's shoulder, as Sanchez tries to avoid the shot. A punch combination from Von Hammerstein misses. No joy there for Von Hammerstein, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Von Hammerstein takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sanchez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Von Hammerstein stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet. Sanchez fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fumando Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

He's persisting with it as Von Hammerstein sprawls well. Von Hammerstein wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet. Von Hammerstein defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez fails in his attempt to clinch.

Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Von Hammerstein pinned against the cage. Von Hammerstein gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Von Hammerstein avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Fumando Sanchez showed his dominance in that final round. I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
