Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Derek Gauthier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gauthier comes to the cage accompanied by Ice Ice Baby. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gauthier circles away.
Gauthier throws a wild body kick that West sees coming a mile off.
Gauthier lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

and Gauthier counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Gauthier is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
West tries to pull guard but Gauthier holds him up against the cage and eventually West drops back down to his feet.
West tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gauthier smiles and moves away.

West is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
