Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vic Sotto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Maximus!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus keeps the fight on the outside.
Sotto tries for a takedown but Maximus sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Sotto shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Maximus closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sotto did well to prevent Maximus getting side control.
Sotto won't allow Maximus to pass to mount.
Sotto blocking the ground and pound attempt from Maximus.
Maximus slips a nice elbow through Sotto's hands, connecting with Sotto's forehead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Maximus thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sotto's head.
Maximus thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sotto is looking to control Maximus's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sotto avoid being mounted?
Maximus trying to mount his opponent but Sotto defends it.
Maximus is thwarting Sotto's attempts to control the position.

Sotto is looking to escape.
Sotto tries to get to full guard but Maximus has control of the leg.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Maximus shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sotto napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ground and pound from Maximus seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Maximus misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Maximus has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Sotto!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A nice elbow there by Maximus.
Sotto blocking the ground and pound.
Sotto is desperately trying to improve his position but Maximus has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Maximus cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Sotto takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Sotto is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Maximus postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Sotto in real trouble here! The ref calls for Sotto to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marcus Maximus!
