Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Valio Hristov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Halibut Halibut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Halibut's choice of entrance music: Peter You Suck. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Valio Hristov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Halibut Halibut! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hristov throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Hristov slips under a jab. Hristov throws a nice looking combination but Halibut bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Halibut closes the distance and lands a one-two. Halibut closes the distance and pushes Hristov back into the cage. Halibut scores with a knee to the head.
It looks like Valio Hristov has been cut. Halibut misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Hristov.
Halibut has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hristov is trying to keep an underhook but Halibut manages to get the takedown into half guard. Hristov wants to control but Halibut is keeping busy and won't allow it. Halibut content to control rather than advance. Let's hope that Halibut has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Halibut thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hristov's head. Hristov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Hristov throws a right hand that Halibut ducks under and follows up with a left that Halibut also avoids with ease. Halibut forces Hristov back against the cage and clinches. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Halibut comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Halibut pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Halibut is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Hristov is defending well for now. Halibut lands a damaging elbow. A frustrated look appears on Hristov's face as he tries to break the clinch. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hristov misses with a few strikes there.

Still in half guard, Halibut seems content to control. Halibut is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hristov defends it well. Hristov wants to improve his position but Halibut is controlling well.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Halibut in particular looking to stall. Halibut wants to take a breather but Hristov is having none of it. Hristov wants to control but Halibut is keeping busy.
Hristov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Halibut's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Halibut's back! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hristov trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

Halibut Halibut seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hristov tries to bum rush Halibut with a series of wild strikes but Halibut uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hristov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Halibut doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Halibut manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hristov looking for a guillotine here but Halibut defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Halibut is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Halibut pushes down on Hristov's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hristov trying to control but Halibut postures up.

Halibut lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Halibut cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Halibut controlling the position easily from mount. Halibut takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hristov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Halibut is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Hristov wants to control from the top but Halibut keeps moving. Halibut is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Halibut has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Halibut throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hristov escapes and throws Halibut's legs to the side, diving into side control! Valio Hristov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Halibut Halibut is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hristov sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Halibut is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Halibut Halibut comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Halibut has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
