PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Keni Susi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bihom Tarsun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Susi comes into the arena with Metallica - Hero of the Day blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bihom Tarsun!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarsun checks a leg kick.
Tarsun moves in looking to clinch but Susi pushes him off.
Susi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tarsun swivels and escapes.
Horrible takedown by Susi or perhaps it was just good defense by Tarsun which made him look bad.
Tarsun lands a jab.
Tarsun throws a chopping leg kick but Susi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Susi closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tarsun circles away.

Tarsun throws a body punch but Susi moves out of range.
Tarsun throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Tarsun throws a hook to the side of Susi's head but Susi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

It looks like Keni Susi has been cut.
Susi tries to pull guard but Tarsun holds him up against the cage and eventually Susi drops back down to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tarsun throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Susi blocks it with crossed arms.
Tarsun connects with a knee to the head.
Susi tries to pull guard but Tarsun won't allow it.
Susi tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Tarsun misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Susi.

Tarsun's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
No luck for Susi with that takedown attempt.
Susi misses with a takedown attempt - Tarsun sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Susi looks to throw the jab but Tarsun is out of range.
Susi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tarsun but Tarsun pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Susi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tarsun sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Susi somewhat.

Susi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tarsun tries to avoid it but Susi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tarsun to the ground. Tarsun escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Tarsun throws a hook but Susi blocks it.
Tarsun throws a jab when Susi was well out of range.
Tarsun stuffs the takedown attempt from Susi. Susi gets slowly back to his feet.

Tarsun stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tarsun wants it to stay on the feet.

Tarsun has Susi up against the cage in a clinch.

Tarsun turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tarsun manages to end up in side control.
Susi is trying to control Tarsun's posture but Tarsun avoids it.
Tarsun wants to control but Susi is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Susi is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Susi shoots in looking for a takedown. Tarsun tries to sprawl out of it but Susi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tarsun manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Susi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tarsun defends well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Susi is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Tarsun drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tarsun jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well Tarsun has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
