Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Kilgore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chuck Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyson Kilgore!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilgore fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kilgore fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kilgore avoids the body shot from Smith.

Smith gets the takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Smith trying to control the position but Kilgore is working away.
Smith controls the position.
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kilgore is trying to improve his position.
Kilgore looking for a sweep but Smith has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Smith wants to control the pace but Kilgore is squirming around nicely.
Smith controlling the position easily from mount.

Kilgore is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kilgore is trying to escape the mount.
Smith tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kilgore keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Kilgore is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kilgore tries to hold on but Smith postures up.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smith cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Smith looking to control but Kilgore is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Kilgore is looking to improve his position but Smith isn't that keen on the idea.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kilgore is squirming around, avoiding Smith's attempts to control the action.
Kilgore wants to hold on but Smith pushes him away.
Smith sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Kilgore is desperately trying to improve his position but Smith has a good base and remains in mount.
Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kilgore on the ground.
Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Smith controlling the position easily from mount.
Smith avoids the attempt from Kilgore to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kilgore really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chuck Smith dominated that round.
That's time! Smith's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kilgore has his takedown stuffed

and Smith decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kilgore's guard.

Kilgore is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.
Smith is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Kilgore striking off his back but it's not causing Smith any problems.
Kilgore manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Smith has given up his back. Will we see Kilgore going for some submissions?

Kilgore working for a choke but Smith is defending well.
Smith prevents Kilgore from getting a body triangle.

Smith defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Kilgore's arms.
Smith tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kilgore.
Smith is wriggling around trying to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kilgore moves to the back.

Kilgore tightening his grip on Smith, looking for the choke.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kilgore sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Smith taps out!
