Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mick Meyers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Physcotic Assassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Physcotic Assassin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mick Meyers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, The Physcotic Assassin! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Assassin. The fight stays on the outside here - Meyers looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Meyers is looking to clinch. Meyers throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Assassin keeps the fight on the outside. Assassin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Meyers as he jumps to the side. Meyers lands a jab-cross combination. Meyers moves in looking to clinch but Assassin pushes him off. Meyers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Assassin moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Meyers fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Assassin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Meyers throws a solid leg kick but Assassin takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Meyers.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meyers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Meyers misses with a straight left. Meyers fails with an attempt to clinch.
Meyers cracks Assassin with an open hand slap. Meyers defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Assassin. Mick Meyers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Physcotic Assassin. Assassin dodges the punch combination from Meyers.
Meyers throws out a loose jab but Assassin uses good head movement to avoid it. Assassin shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Meyers is trying to defend but Assassin finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Assassin wants to work for an arm triangle but Meyers is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Assassin missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Assassin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Meyers is just riding it out for now. Assassin eventually gives up the hold. Assassin is trying to control. Meyers wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Assassin seems to be working for a kimura but Meyers defends the submission attempt. Assassin looks gassed! Ground and pound from Assassin. Assassin scoring with strikes to the body and head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Assassin is working for a submission of some sort.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Assassin is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Meyers defends it well. Meyers wants to get back to his feet. Assassin is stalling here. Meyers is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Assassin seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Meyers has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Assassin is looking to regain half guard here but Meyers keeps moving and retains side control. Meyers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Assassin keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Assassin is trying to improve his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Meyers moves in looking to clinch but Assassin pushes him off. Assassin moves out of range of the body kick. Nice sprawl there from Meyers as Assassin shoots in. Meyers wants to slow Assassin down by chopping away at his legs. Meyers misses with a few strikes there.
Meyers throws a right and a left that Assassin avoids nicely. Meyers tries to clinch but Assassin moves out of range. Meyers fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Assassin on the side of the head. Assassin avoids a punch combination nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mick Meyers dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Assassin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Meyers's waist but Meyers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Assassin off to one side. Meyers moves in looking to clinch but Assassin pushes him off. Meyers tries to clinch there but Assassin circles away.
Assassin tries for a takedown but Meyers sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Meyers misses with an uppercut. Assassin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Meyers defends it nicely. Mick Meyers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of The Physcotic Assassin. Assassin keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Meyers. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meyers throws out a loose jab but Assassin uses good head movement to avoid it. Meyers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meyers doesn't manage to clinch there - Assassin circles away.
Assassin keeps the fight on the outside. Assassin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Meyers napping and manages to drive through into side control! The ground and pound from Assassin seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Meyers wants to get back to his feet. Assassin working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Assassin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Meyers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Assassin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Assassin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meyers tries to escape but Assassin is in control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Assassin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Meyers, who protects the arm well.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Assassin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Meyers sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Assassin somewhat. A jab from Meyers finds it's way through Assassin's defenses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Assassin fails to land the takedown. Meyers drops Assassin with a beautiful combination! Assassin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Meyers is looking for the KO!
Assassin is rocked! Meyers throws a nice outside leg kick. Assassin is still on wobbly legs! Can Meyers finish him? Mick Meyers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Meyers lands a big uppercut and this one is all over! His foe lies motionless on the canvas - a massive one punch knockout!
