Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Howden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Day! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matt Howden! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Howden avoids a punch combination nicely.
Day plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Howden shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Day manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Howden trying to control the position from guard on top but Day is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Day wants to stand but Howden is controlling the position. Howden missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Howden wants to control from the top but Day keeps moving. Howden prevents Day from getting back to his feet. Howden pushing down on Day's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Day keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Howden is stalling here. Day is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Howden seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Day has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Howden is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Day off and has taken his back! Day wants to get back to his feet. Howden lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Day is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Howden scores with strikes from the back.
Day is breathing heavily. Day is trying to get back to his feet but Howden has full control of the position and if anything, Day has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Howden has Day flattened out and is raining down punches. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Howden's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Howden trying to control. Howden lands strikes to the head. Day holding both Howden 's hands and preventing any damage. Howden has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Howden drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Day wants to stand and escape but Howden is having none of it. Day keeping moving, preventing Howden from controlling successfully. Howden stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Day swivels though and keeps the full guard. Day is looking to stand up but Howden isn't so interested in that idea. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Howden works over Day with some ground and pound from guard.

Day taking a bit of punishment here - Howden scoring with strikes. Howden is working Day over with some ground and pound from side control. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Howden advances to mount. Day blocking the ground and pound. Day is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Howden tries to control but Day wriggling away. Howden landing strikes from the mount and Day is in trouble! Day wants to try and get back to his feet. Howden sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. You get the feeling that Day really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Howden with a couple of short strikes. A nice elbow there by Howden. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Howden landing punches. Matt Howden has got the better of the ground game so far. Howden lands a big elbow. Day wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Howden wants to control the pace but Day is squirming around nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Howden showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Day feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Day trying to control but Howden is working from the bottom.
