Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shulk Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shulk Hogan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Steele! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hogan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steele's waist but Steele gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hogan off to one side. Hogan fails with the takedown. Steele scores a takedown into full mount! Steele trying to control but he's not successful this time. Steele thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
A nice elbow there by Steele. Hogan tries to lock up and control but Steele gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hogan is trying to reverse the position but instead Steele has taken his back - oops! Hogan is trying to break free.
Steele connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Hogan to escape the position.
Hogan trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble. Steele trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Hogan tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Hogan can't escape the position.
Hogan is trying to reverse the position but instead Steele has taken his back - oops! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Even with his hooks in, Steele manages to miss with strikes from the back. Steele doesn't have the hooks in and Hogan manages to turn into his guard.
Hogan throws a big right hand that misses. Steele trying to control the position.
Hogan connects with a couple of short punches. Steele will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Hogan cracks Steele with a solid left hand. Hogan throws a big right hand that misses. Hogan trying to control but Steele is working from the bottom. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hogan's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Hogan preventing the sweep. Hogan stands and throws Steele's legs to the side, diving into side control. Steele is trying to get back to half guard. Steele is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Steele looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hogan works to advance to full mount. Steele defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Hogan has control of Steele's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Steele regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hogan could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hogan looking to secure an arm triangle but Steele defends it well. Hogan working the ground and pound effectively.
Steele wants to hold on but Hogan pushes him away. Hogan lands a big shot there that rocks Steele but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hogan scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Steele?
Hogan wants to control the pace but Steele is squirming around nicely. Steele wants to try and get back to his feet. Hogan looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steele regains half guard. Steele is looking to improve his position.
Steele trying to hold on to Hogan's head to control him but Hogan postures up.
Hogan working the head and body with strikes. Steele wants to improve his position but Hogan is controlling well.
Steele has hold of Hogan's hands but Hogan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Hogan is thwarting Steele's attempts to control the position. Steele gets full guard. Steele will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hogan postures up in Steele's guard and throws a big left but Steele blocks it. Hogan won't allow Steele to sweep him here. Hogan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Steele wants to get back to his feet but Hogan is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Hogan scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Steele really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hogan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Steele trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Steele working for a triangle but Hogan defends it easily.
Steele controls Hogan momentarily but Hogan frees himself.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Hogan shoots in but no luck this time. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shulk Hogan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steele fails with the takedown. Hogan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Steele's guard. Steele throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Steele keeping moving, preventing Hogan from controlling successfully. Steele looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shulk Hogan dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Steele looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Steele stopping the sweep attempt from Hogan. Steele tries to free his leg and advance position but Hogan is retaining full guard. Hogan striking off his back but it's not causing Steele any problems. Hogan is trying to keep Steele in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steele trying to control but Hogan is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Steele wants to pass the guard but Hogan is keeping the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Hogan fails with the takedown and Steele counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hogan's guard now. Paul Steele has got the better of the ground game so far. Steele trying to control the position from guard on top but Hogan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hogan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Steele looking to pass the guard. Steele must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hogan is trying to keep Steele in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hogan is on top in guard.
Steele controls Hogan momentarily but Hogan frees himself. Steele keeping moving, preventing Hogan from controlling successfully. Hogan stands and throws Steele's legs to the side, diving into side control. Steele takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Steele takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hogan is chipping away with strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hogan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Steele seems to have recovered his senses. Hogan working away. Steele prevents Hogan from moving into mount. Steele is trying to improve his position. Steele is not content to let Hogan control the position. Hogan scoring with punches from side control. Hogan trying to control the action but Steele is working from the bottom.

Hogan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Hogan is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Hogan landing strikes, looking to finish! Steele is squirming around, avoiding Hogan's attempts to control the action. Hogan avoids the attempt from Steele to control. Steele is wriggling around trying to escape.
Hogan misses with a head shot. Steele wants to hold on but Hogan pushes him away.

Poor strikes thrown by Hogan there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Steele is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Steele wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Hogan scoring with strikes but Steele is staying in there. Hogan swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Steele is now in Hogan's guard. A big mistake from Hogan there, giving up the dominant position! Hogan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hogan scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.

Still in half guard, Hogan seems content to control. Hogan working Steele over with strikes. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hogan is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Shulk Hogan will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Hogan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Steele stuffs the takedown. Steele fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hogan has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shulk Hogan. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fight moves into the clinch position. Hogan stops a takedown attempt from Steele.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Steele takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Hogan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Steele prevents it.

Shulk Hogan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Hogan fails with the takedown and Steele counters with a left and a right that stings Hogan. Hogan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Steele as he avoids it easily. Hogan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hogan lands in his opponent's guard. Hogan lands a couple of digs. Hogan lands a couple of digs. Hogan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hogan controlling the position. Hogan advances to mount. Steele in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Steele is working to get back to half guard.

Hogan working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Steele turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Hogan off and cradles Steele's limp body as Hogan celebrates with his corner.
