5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jonathan Heymen! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Heymen fails with an attempt to clinch.

It looks like Stevie Why has been cut. Why fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Heymen gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Heymen misses with a knee to the head. Why goes for a takedown attempt but Heymen pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Heymen keeps the fight on the outside. Why blocks a low kick nicely. Why tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Heymen swivels and escapes. Heymen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Why! Why seems to have got his legs back now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Heymen stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Why avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Why misses with a takedown and Heymen counters by clinching up. Why tries to pull guard but Heymen holds him up against the cage and eventually Why drops back down to his feet.
Heymen lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Why backwards. Heymen is working Why over against the cage. Why tries to break the clinch but Heymen is controlling the position. Why takes a knee right on the jaw!

Heymen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Why paws at him with a jab and circles away. A telegraphed right hand from Heymen misses the target. That's four minutes gone in the round. Heymen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Why wants to stand and escape but Heymen is having none of it. Heymen wants to pass the guard but Why is keeping the position. Heymenis looking to pass into half guard but Why pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Why is in guard. Why is looking to work some ground and pound but Heymen has wrist control. Why is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Heymen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Heymen has escaped and now he's on top! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Heymen controlling from the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jonathan Heymen dominated that round. The cut man is working on Stevie Why's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Why fails with the takedown and Heymen counters with a nice body kick. Heymen forces Why back against the cage and clinches. Why tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Heymen is pressed up against the cage. Why has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Heymen down to the mat. Heymen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stevie Why. That's going to take a lot out of him. Why throws a hook but Heymen blocks it. Heymen throws a nice outside leg kick. Heymen throws a nice inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Heymen cracks the inside of Why's front leg. Heymen scoring well with a low kick there.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Why swats away the attempt to clinch by Heymen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Heymen lands a jab to the nose. Why shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Heymen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Heymen circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Why drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Heymen follows Why to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
