Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Miguel Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anders Hallage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hallage is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by High on Fire - Blessed Black Wings. Miguel Sanchez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anders Hallage! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hallage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sanchez closes the distance and clinches. Sanchez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hallage gets caught flat footed, as Sanchez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Hallage keeping moving, preventing Sanchez from controlling successfully. Sanchez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hallage works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sanchez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hallage trying to keep a closed guard but Sanchez is proving a slippery customer.
Hallage is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sanchez is controlling him. Hallage is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sanchez wants to control from the top but Hallage keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sanchez fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Hallage doesn't manage to clinch there - Sanchez circles away.
Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hallage pinned against the cage. Hallage gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Miguel Sanchez. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hallage gets caught flat footed, as Sanchez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hallage looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sanchez trying to control but Hallage is working from the bottom. Hallage trying to keep a closed guard but Sanchez is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez forces his way into half guard. Hallage trying to control but Sanchez postures up.
Sanchez looks to land a strike but Hallage avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Hallage trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Hallage trying to keep a closed guard but Sanchez is proving a slippery customer.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hallage has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though. Sanchez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hallage looks gassed! Hallage manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sanchez manages to get himself to full guard.
Hallage really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Sanchez looking for a guillotine here but Hallage defends easily.
Hallage thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sanchez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hallage gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hallage is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sanchez trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hallage looking to sit in guard and control but Sanchez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Sanchez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Hallage is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sanchez's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Sanchez! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Hallage has tapped! This one is allllll over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Miguel Sanchez!
