Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Rudd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rudd comes to the cage accompanied by Danger Mouse theme song. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rudd throws a head kick that misses.
Rudd takes a swing at Simpson's ribcage but misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Simpson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rudd - the referee stops the clock and Simpson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rudd. Simpson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Simpson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rudd.

Simpson takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A head kick by Rudd - that's a beauty! Simpson is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Rudd can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kevin Rudd!
