Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Leeland Chapman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Georges StPierre! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chapman darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. StPierre looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Chapman is trying to work for a kimura but StPierre is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. StPierre on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Chapman landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Chapman prevents StPierre from improving his position. Chapman has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Chapman unloading with bombs! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chapman content just to control the position here.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Chapman is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. StPierre can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Chapman sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Chapman lands a heavy elbow. Chapman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Chapman scoring with strikes but StPierre is staying in there.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Chapman looking to control and managing it successfully. Chapman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Chapman connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

 The referee stands the fighters back up. Leeland Chapman just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Chapman shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Chapman lands a couple of decent looking shots. Chapman distracts StPierre with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

StPierre preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Chapman postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chapman controls from within his opponent's guard. And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.

Chapman scores with a takedown into StPierre's guard. Chapman controls the pace of the fight for a moment. StPierre working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Chapman. Chapman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Chapman is in close to StPierre's body, working some short punches and elbows. Chapman lands a couple of elbows. StPierre not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
StPierre is breathing heavily. Chapman postures up in StPierre's guard and throws a big left but StPierre blocks it. Chapman advances position into side control!
Chapman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. StPierre knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Leeland Chapman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Chapman has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Chapman misses with the combination.
StPierre stuffs the takedown attempt from Chapman. Chapman gets slowly back to his feet.

 That's three minutes gone in the round. Chapman lands a big shot there that rocks StPierre but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Chapman looking to control but StPierre is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Chapman content just to control the position here. Chapman landing strikes from the mount and StPierre is in trouble! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Chapman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

 That's four minutes gone in the round. Chapman looking to control and managing it successfully. Chapman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down StPierre for as long as he can get away with. StPierre really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that�s the end of the round � the fighters go back to their corners.
Leeland Chapman dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

StPierre gets caught flat footed, as Chapman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Chapman lands a couple of decent looking shots. Chapman not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Chapman got a little sloppy there for a moment and StPierre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chapman has managed to get both his arms back between StPierre's legs - danger averted. Chapman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Chapman trying to control the position from guard on top but StPierre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
 The referee stands the fighters back up. Leeland Chapman just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Some wild striking there from Chapman.
StPierre takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Chapman scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Chapman scores with a couple of short elbows. StPierre prevents Chapman from moving into mount. StPierre is working to avoid the ground and pound but Chapman connects with a decent elbow. Chapman scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at StPierre to see if he's OK. Chapman is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down StPierre's shoulder. That is not cool.
Chapman tries for a kimura but StPierre is defending well. Chapman is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Chapman is chipping away with strikes.
Chapman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that StPierre can do to turn this around?

Chapman is working StPierre over with some ground and pound from side control. Chapman works to advance to full mount. StPierre defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Chapman controlling the pace for now. StPierre is in a horrible position here. Chapman smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

StPierre takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Chapman controlling the position easily from mount. Chapman with shots to the head and body - StPierre looks very uncomfortable down there. Georges StPierre has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Chapman is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! StPierre is forced to tap! Great finish!
