Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Forrest Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Teryl Sazir!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sazir moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Liddell stalks Sazir and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Sazir's face. Sazir staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Teryl Sazir has been cut.
Forrest Liddell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sazir checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sazir throws a series of strikes that have Liddell backpedaling.
Sazir lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Liddell circles away quickly and effectively.

Sazir closes the distance and clinches.
Sazir fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Sazir breaks from the clinch.
Liddell misses with a double jab
and Sazir counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Liddell throws a left and a right that both miss

and Sazir moves into the clinch.
Sazir is looking to control Liddell's arms but Liddell gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sazir has his back to the cage.
Liddell keeps control of Sazir as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Liddell is looking to break free of the clinch but Sazir has double underhooks.
Liddell is trying to break the clinch but Sazir has him pressed against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Sazir as the two fighters clinch.

Sazir escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sazir looks gassed!
Liddell swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sazir counters with a two punch combo.
Sazir avoids the head kick by Liddell.
Liddell misses with a few strikes there.
A nice combination there by Liddell.

Liddell lands a big head kick that sends Sazir tumbling to the mat! Liddell takes a step backwards and waves Sazir back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Sazir is rocked!
Liddell could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sazir avoids a punch combination nicely.
Liddell connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Sazir out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Forrest Liddell!
