Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Micky McFinnigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Bring Da Ruckus as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Micky McFinnigan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Micky McFinnigan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damien Silva! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Silva looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. McFinnigan is trying to get back to his feet. Silva swings around for an armbar but McFinnigan sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Silva's guard. Silva throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
McFinnigan gets to his feet - Silva follows without any prompting. McFinnigan throws a jab when Silva was well out of range. McFinnigan throws a hook but Silva blocks it. McFinnigan throws a jab when Silva was well out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. McFinnigan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Silva. McFinnigan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Micky McFinnigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McFinnigan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
McFinnigan throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease. Silva keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from McFinnigan. McFinnigan digs a good body shot into Silva's ribs. Silva moves out of range as McFinnigan strikes. Silva avoids a punch combination nicely.
McFinnigan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McFinnigan wants it to stay on the feet. Silva moves out of range of the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silva tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McFinnigan swivels and escapes. Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Silva sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but McFinnigan is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Silva is looking to take a break and control but McFinnigan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. McFinnigan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Silva has just dragged him back down to the mat. Silva working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. You can see the frustration on McFinnigan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McFinnigan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. McFinnigan regains half guard there - taking advantage of Silva's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. McFinnigan wants to get back to his feet.

Damien Silva dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
McFinnigan misses with a wild combination.
McFinnigan works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Silva steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McFinnigan. McFinnigan misses the jab. McFinnigan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McFinnigan throws a shot to the body.
Nice defenses there by Silva. Silva fails with a takedown attempt from distance. McFinnigan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva. Micky McFinnigan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

McFinnigan throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it. McFinnigan misses with a looping right. McFinnigan connects with a crisp jab. McFinnigan swings for the body but Silva moves out of range.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McFinnigan's waist but McFinnigan gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side. Silva throws a predictable looking body shot
and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big left from McFinnigan misses. McFinnigan misses with a hook. Silva ducked under it nicely. Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling McFinnigan to counter with a crisp jab. Micky McFinnigan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Silva. Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and McFinnigan counters with a straight punch to the midsection. McFinnigan is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. A slow jab from McFinnigan misses its intended target. Silva has his takedown stuffed and McFinnigan counters with a left and a right that stings Silva. Silva is breathing heavily. Silva has his takedown stuffed and McFinnigan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McFinnigan scores with a hook. McFinnigan throws a wild combination but nothing lands. A big left from McFinnigan misses. Silva takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. McFinnigan throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The fighters circling - McFinnigan throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Silva takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Silva walks into a stiff left hand from McFinnigan. McFinnigan connects with a crisp jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McFinnigan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Silva on the side of the head. McFinnigan loads up on a big right hand but Silva slips the punch. McFinnigan moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Silva staying out of range there. A telegraphed right hand from McFinnigan misses the target. McFinnigan lands with a nice body punch. McFinnigan throws a hook but Silva avoids it easily. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily letting McFinnigan counter with a right hand. Silva walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Micky McFinnigan dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
McFinnigan lands with an uppercut that bounces Silva off the cage and back into rage. McFinnigan misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. McFinnigan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
McFinnigan gets to his feet. Silva looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! McFinnigan scores with a jab to the body. Damien Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Silva slips under a jab from McFinnigan. McFinnigan looks to land a left hand but Silva moved out of range nicely. Silva defending well as McFinnigan loads up on a big left hand. McFinnigan misses with a wild body shot.

McFinnigan throws a lazy right hand but Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. McFinnigan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Silva has time to react. McFinnigan throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely. Silva displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McFinnigan throws out the jab.

McFinnigan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Silva has his takedown stuffed and McFinnigan counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Micky McFinnigan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damien Silva. Silva slips under a jab. McFinnigan works over Silva's head and body with a nice combination. Silva gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. McFinnigan scores with a sloppy right hand. Silva should have avoided that one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McFinnigan. Silva shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches McFinnigan napping and manages to drive through into side control! You can see the frustration on McFinnigan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McFinnigan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Silva takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. McFinnigan tries to improve position but can't. McFinnigan wants to get back to his feet but Silva drags him back down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva tries for a kimura but McFinnigan is defending well. McFinnigan is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Silva goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McFinnigan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Silva's guard! Nice work there by McFinnigan! McFinnigan wants to get up but he can't break Silva's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. McFinnigan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Micky McFinnigan. I think McFinnigan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
