Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between jealous jarvae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Graham Goddard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goddard has chosen Recipe for Bait as his entrance music. Graham Goddard struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, jealous jarvae!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Graham Goddard!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jarvae moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A low kick from Goddard misses
and jarvae counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
jarvae tries a low kick but Goddard avoids it.
Goddard shoots in and drives through. jarvae sprawls well.
jarvae cracks the inside of Goddard's front leg.

Goddard tries for a takedown but jarvae circles away easily
and jarvae counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Goddard working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. jarvae doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. jarvae manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Goddard got a little sloppy there for a moment and jarvae has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Goddard has managed to get both his arms back between jarvae's legs - danger averted.

jarvae pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
jarvae looking to secure an arm triangle but Goddard defends it well.

Goddard sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Goddard is on top in guard.

Goddard throws a strike but jarvae rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

jarvae slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
jarvae working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Goddard manages to get back to half guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Goddard takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
jarvae lands a head kick. Goddard smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Graham Goddard has been cut.

and Goddard counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in jarvae's guard now.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Goddard's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
jarvae escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Goddard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Goddard wants to control from the top but jarvae keeps moving.
Goddard is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Goddard with a flurry of punches that miss.
jarvae is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Goddard wants to pass the guard but jarvae is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
jarvae misses with a takedown attempt
and Goddard counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Goddard is stalling here. jarvae is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Goddard seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and jarvae has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Goddard gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Goddard is breathing heavily.
Goddard tries to get to full guard but jarvae has control of the leg.

jarvae looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Goddard with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Goddard is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but jarvae pulls his head out easily.
Goddard is trying to get back to full guard.
Goddard wants to control but jarvae is keeping busy and won't allow it.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
jarvae throws a low kick but it's checked well by Goddard.

jarvae throws a head kick that misses.

jealous jarvae seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping leg kick lands for jarvae.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Goddard stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from jarvae.
jarvae misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from jarvae lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Goddard has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Goddard and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

jealous jarvae overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Goddard closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

jarvae manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Goddard manages to get himself to full guard.
jarvae stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Goddard swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Goddard takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

jarvae drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says jarvae as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Goddard screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with jarvae! Nice submission victory there!
