Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ron Harris has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jose Ramirez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ron Harris!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris closes the distance and clinches up with Ramirez, looking for a takedown. Harris pushes Ramirez against the cage but Ramirez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ramirez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Harris napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramirez throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Harris works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Ramirez is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Ramirez is working for a kimura but Harris is defending it quite comfortably.

Harris wants to stand but Ramirez is controlling the position.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harris is on top in guard.

Harris drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Harris jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ramirez wants to stand up but Harris has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Ramirez seems to be looking for submissions.

Ramirez is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Harris is just riding it out for now. Ramirez eventually gives up the hold.

Ramirez is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ramirez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Harris works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Harris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ramirez's guard.
Harris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramirez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ramirez pushes Harris off and scrambles back to his feet.

No joy there for Harris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ramirez moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Harris bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Harris is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ramirez has escaped the position, nice work there.

Ramirez sneaks out the side door and pushes Harris away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Harris tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ramirez's elbow.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Harris drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ramirez has his feet on Harris's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

and Harris counters with a good low kick that Ramirez was not able to check.

Ramirez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Harris was covering up waiting for the punch and Ramirez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Ramirez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Ramirez swings around for an armbar but Harris sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ramirez's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harris prevents Ramirez from getting back to his feet.
Ramirez can't keep his opponent in guard - Harris advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Ramirez looks like he's trying to stand up.
Harris thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Ramirez tries to get to full guard but Harris has control of the leg.
Harris wants to take a breather but Ramirez is having none of it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Harris is defended easily by Ramirez.
