Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick van Greeven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). van Greeven has chosen Tom Waits - Telephone call from Istanbul as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Rob Williams has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rob Williams seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dick van Greeven! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The fighters circling - Williams throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Williams steps into range and cracks van Greeven with a monster punch that buckles his knees! van Greeven flops backwards and Williams dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Dick van Greeven has been cut. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! van Greeven wants to get back to his feet but Williams is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Williams has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Williams gets to his feet - van Greeven follows without any prompting. van Greeven shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Williams sprawls well. Williams wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. van Greeven gets slowly back to his feet. Williams lands a left and a right that sends van Greeven crashing to the canvas! Williams dives into mount looking to finish!

It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Williams wants it to stay on the feet. Williams throws a left that rocks van Greeven and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Williams dives into side control, looking to finish! Can van Greeven regain composure!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Williams taking a breather here. van Greeven manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's four minutes gone in the round. van Greeven is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Williams reverses the position - he's now on top in van Greeven's guard. van Greeven keeping moving, preventing Williams from controlling successfully. van Greeven avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Williams wants to control from the top but van Greeven keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. van Greeven is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Williams has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of van Greeven is proving hard to escape from. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

van Greeven displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Williams throws out the jab. Williams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by van Greeven. Williams is looking to land body kicks. van Greeven closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. van Greeven tries to score a power double leg takedown but Williams sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten van Greeven somewhat. Williams misses with a body shot.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Williams tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. van Greeven seems to have recovered his senses. van Greeven is desperately trying to improve his position but Williams has a good base and remains in mount. Williams tries to control but van Greeven wriggling away. van Greeven tries to hold on but Williams pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. van Greeven can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. van Greeven gets back to half guard. Williams is trying to control the action in half guard but van Greeven is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. van Greeven is looking to improve his position.
Williams content to control rather than advance. van Greeven throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

van Greeven is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Williams here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Williams trying to control the action but van Greeven is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Williams misses the shot to the body. Williams just misses with a punch to the body.
Williams pushing out the jab but it's not landing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Williams dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Dick van Greeven's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
van Greeven misses with an uppercut. van Greeven closes this distance looking for a takedown but Williams circles away. van Greeven closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. van Greeven on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Williams pushes van Greeven away with a front kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Williams's corner calls for a 1-2. Williams obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Nice straight punches there by Williams. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Williams. Williams is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that van Greeven can do to turn this around? Williams lands with a right and another and another! van Greeven is in big trouble! Williams lands again and this time it's lights out for van Greeven! A quality knockout there for Williams.
