Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seth Pizzaelli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zeb Rush !
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rush shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pizzaelli pinned against the cage. Pizzaelli gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rush throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pizzaelli's waist but Pizzaelli gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rush off to one side.
Rush has a takedown stuffed.
Seth Pizzaelli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zeb Rush .
Pizzaelli keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rush dodges the punch combination from Pizzaelli.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rush tries to clinch there but Pizzaelli circles away.

Rush gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Pizzaelli slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pizzaelli forces his way into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Pizzaelli frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Rush really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pizzaelli. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Pizzaelli content just to control the position here.
Rush working to try and regain half guard.
Rush looks gassed!

Pizzaelli working for a submission but Rush is keeping him at bay.
Rush is trying desperately to improve position.

You get the feeling that Rush really doesn't like being in this position too much.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rush wants to control but Pizzaelli is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pizzaelli takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rush can't escape the position.

Rush is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Pizzaelli locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Rush is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Seth Pizzaelli!
