Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, BJ Penn!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn misses with a double jab.
Penn throws a one two combo.

Cameron shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Penn's guard.

Penn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cameron gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cameron is standing up over Penn. Penn looks to escape but Cameron dives into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Cameron closes the distance and clinches.

Penn tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cameron just stands there and leans against the cage.

Cameron jumps guard and drags Penn to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Penn wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cameron, who protects the arm well.

Penn is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cameron knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Penn decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cameron to his feet.
Donk. Penn catches Cameron right on the button with a cross.
Penn throws a right hand that Cameron ducks under and follows up with a left that Cameron also avoids with ease.
Penn sizes up Cameron with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Cameron rushes Penn and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Cameron's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Penn lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Cameron closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cameron lands in his opponent's guard.

Penn looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Penn escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cameron gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Cameron distracts Penn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Penn isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Cameron stacks Penn on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Cameron!

Penn is pushing Cameron's head away, looking to escape. Cameron manages to hold on to the position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cameron creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Penn sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Penn tries to buck Cameron off but Cameron is having none of it.
Penn sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Cameron landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Cameron thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Cameron sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Penn defending well though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Cameron throws a strike but Penn avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Cameron throws a strike but Penn rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Penn sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Cameron's guard.

Penn is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Cameron tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Penn is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Cameron is trying to get back to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are battling for position here. Cameron manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Cameron throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Penn trying to control but Cameron is working from the bottom.
Cameron wants to stand but Penn is controlling the position.
Cameron has a closed guard, preventing Penn from standing up.

Penn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Penn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Penn lands a right hook to the body.
Penn lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Cameron dodges the punch combination from Penn.
Penn misses with a wild body shot.

Cameron moves into the clinch.

Cameron jumps into guard, dragging Penn to the mat.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brian Cameron will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Some wild striking there from Penn.

Cameron feints and as Penn raises his hands in defense, Cameron changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Penn looking for a triangle here. Cameron is fighting it but it looks tight! Penn pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Cameron is tapping out - this one is all over!
