PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Kyznetsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kyznetsov's entrance music is Crush It Down by Crooked X. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arthur Green!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Green closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kyznetsov circles away.
Green throws a nice looking combination but Kyznetsov bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Kyznetsov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Kyznetsov stands up and waves to Green to follow him.
Green fails with the takedown

and Kyznetsov counters with a nice double leg into side control. Green won't be happy with that.

Green wants to get back to his feet.

and Kyznetsov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Alexei Kyznetsov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arthur Green.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kyznetsov jumps guard and drags Green to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Kyznetsov is trying to control the position but Green postures up.

Green must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Kyznetsov lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Green!
The referee warns Green that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Kyznetsov slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Kyznetsov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Green really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kyznetsov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Green misses with a takedown attempt

and Kyznetsov counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kyznetsov.
Kyznetsov is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Kyznetsov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kyznetsov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kyznetsov has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Green clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Green is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kyznetsov gets his way!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kyznetsov controls the position.

Green tries to bum rush Kyznetsov with a series of wild strikes but Kyznetsov uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Alexei Kyznetsov just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Kyznetsov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Green is looking to stand up but Kyznetsov isn't so interested in that idea.

Green gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kyznetsov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
