Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jake Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunner Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hansen has chosen Havenless by Enslaved as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen slips a jab and a cross from Thompson.
Jake Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hansen looks for a takedown but Thompson sprawls well.
Thompson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hansen counters with a takedown into side control.
Hansen advances nicely into full mount.
Thompson is breathing heavily.

I looks like Hansen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Thompson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hansen on the ground.

Despite being in the dominant position, Gunner Hansen just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hansen tries to clinch but Thompson is having none of it.

Thompson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hansen's guard.

Hansen lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Thompson!
Thompson wants to hold on but Hansen pushes him away.
Hansen wants to control the pace but Thompson is squirming around nicely.

Thompson is looking to improve his position but Hansen isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hansen cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hansen is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Thompson goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Hansen!
