Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexi Poutine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Poutine kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Adam Lambert - For Your Entertainment. Nick Silva will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Poutine feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Poutine changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Poutine stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Silva can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silva utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Poutine tries to free his leg and advance position but Silva is retaining full guard.
Poutine works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Silva manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Silva throws a right hand that Poutine ducks under and follows up with a left that Poutine also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Alexi Poutine has been cut.
Poutine drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silva keeping full guard, as Poutine tries to pass.
Poutine is breathing heavily.
Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Silva wants to stand but Poutine is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Poutine drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Poutine off! Poutine jumps back into Silva's guard.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Poutine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Silva looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Poutine defends it easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Poutine wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva lands a left and a right that send Poutine crashing to the mat, dazed. Silva thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Poutine is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Poutine crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nick Silva!
