Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brett Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Justin Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moore has chosen I Could Kick Your Ass as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brett Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Justin Moore! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas shoots for a double leg takedown but Moore sprawls well. He's pushed Thomas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Thomas shoots in for a takedown but Moore shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Moore looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Thomas looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Moore wants to stand up but Thomas has a hold of him and won't allow it. Moore really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Thomas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Thomas won't allow Moore to pass to mount. Moore thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thomas's head. Moore stalling. Thomas is trying to control but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas tries to get to full guard but Moore has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Thomas manages to get to full guard.
Moore seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Moore trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Moore sitting in guard, not really doing much. Moore's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Moore wants to pass the guard but Thomas is keeping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore wants to control from the top but Thomas keeps moving. Moore pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Thomas is keeping the position for now. Moore looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Thomas keeping moving, preventing Moore from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Moore slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Despite being in the dominant position, Justin Moore just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Moore misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thomas shoots and misses and Moore counters with a nice double leg into side control. Thomas won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brett Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moore staying calm. You can see the frustration on Thomas's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moore shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Moore drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Thomas managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Moore.
Moore decides to stand back up. Thomas misses with a takedown attempt and Moore counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Thomas's guard now. Thomas is looking for a triangle but Moore pushes his legs off easily.
Moore not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Moore won't allow Thomas to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moore trying to control but Thomas is working from the bottom. Moore postures up in Thomas's guard and throws a big left but Thomas blocks it. Moore stands up from guard. Let's bang! A solid leg kick lands there for Moore.
Moore goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Thomas shoots and misses and Moore counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Moore. Thomas being controlled here, momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moore throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Thomas works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Moore is stalling in the full guard. Moore stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Moore throws a head kick that misses. Moore has Thomas up against the cage in a clinch.

Justin Moore has got the better of the ground game so far. Thomas trying to control but Moore is working from the bottom. Thomas preventing the sweep. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Thomas accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Moore wants to stand up but Thomas is controlling him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Moore has a closed guard, preventing Thomas from standing up. Thomas wants to pass the guard but Moore is keeping the position. Thomas is looking to work some ground and pound but Moore has wrist control.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Moore feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Thomas keeping moving, preventing Moore from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Moore is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moore darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Thomas moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Thomas keeping full guard, as Moore tries to pass. Moore must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Thomas has his foot on Moore's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Moore works his way back into a safe position though. Thomas is really struggling to control Moore but he's trying to hold on to the position. Brett Thomas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Justin Moore is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Thomas loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that's the end of the fight! Justin Moore comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Moore has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
