Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garrison Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JeanGuy Rubberboot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rubberboot has chosen Red Hot Chili Peppers - Fight Like A Brave as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Garrison Steele!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, JeanGuy Rubberboot!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele misses with a hook.
Rubberboot slips under a jab.

Rubberboot shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Rubberboot unloads with some shots from mount but Steele bucks and avoids them well.
Poor strikes thrown by Rubberboot there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steele is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Rubberboot is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Steele to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Steele shrugs it off.

Rubberboot goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Steele turns into him and now he's in Rubberboot's guard.
Steele throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rubberboot works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Rubberboot drops back, looking for a kneebar! Steele looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Steele looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Steele!

Rubberboot is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Steele asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rubberboot takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Steele creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Rubberboot sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Rubberboot pushes Steele away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Steele gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Steele is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Rubberboot gets his way!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Rubberboot is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Steele defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Steele lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Steele wants to stand and escape but Rubberboot is having none of it.

Rubberboot drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Steele dives on top into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Steele got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rubberboot has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Steele has managed to get both his arms back between Rubberboot's legs - danger averted.
