The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Osterberg misses with a body kick.
Viv tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Viv swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Osterberg looks for the body kick but Viv saw that one coming.
A clash of legs there as Osterberg blocks the low kick.
Osterberg shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Viv is trying to defend but Osterberg finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Viv is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Osterberg bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Viv's guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Viv misses the jab.
Viv tries to clinch but Osterberg is having none of it.

Osterberg throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Viv is pushing Osterberg's head away, looking to escape. Osterberg manages to hold on to the position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Osterberg throwing shots but missing, from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A lull in the action here as Osterberg stalls from top position.
Viv is trying to improve his position.
Osterberg tries for a kimura but Viv is defending well.

Viv wants to control but Osterberg postures up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Osterberg.

Viv swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Osterberg counters by moving into the clinch.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Osterberg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Osterberg closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Kristoffer Osterberg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Viv closes the distance but Osterberg moves to the side
so Osterberg counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Osterberg decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Viv, up you get!
Viv lands a head kick. Osterberg smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Viv avoids the body shot from Osterberg.
Osterberg takes the fight into the clinch.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Viv looking to throw knees to the head but Osterberg is blocking nicely.
Osterberg is pressed up against the cage. Viv has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Osterberg down to the mat. Osterberg avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Osterberg takes the fight into the clinch.

Osterberg lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Viv!
Osterberg manages to capitalize on a mistake by Viv to take his back!
