Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Cervoni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darius Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Cervoni! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darius Johnson! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Johnson misses. Cervoni fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Johnson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Horrible takedown by Cervoni or perhaps it was just good defense by Johnson which made him look bad. Cervoni dips to his left and cracks Johnson with an uppercut! Johnson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Johnson looks to land a combination but Cervoni avoids it well. Cervoni shoots in for a takedown but Johnson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Cervoni. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cervoni shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely. Johnson throws a jab but it's blocked by Cervoni. Cervoni keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Johnson leaves Cervoni with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson looks to land a combination but Cervoni avoids it well. Cervoni is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Johnson. Cervoni showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Johnson.
No luck for Cervoni with that takedown attempt. Johnson swinging wilding here.
Cervoni throws a combination that misses and Johnson counters with a nice leg kick. Cervoni shoots for a takedown but Johnson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Cervoni slips a jab and a cross from Johnson.

Johnson scores with the left hand. Cervoni knows he should have avoided that one. Cervoni really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab from Johnson misses. Johnson looks to land a body kick but Cervoni moved away. No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A left lands for Cervoni. Johnson misses with a looping left. Johnson misses with a combination
and Cervoni counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Johnson! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cervoni pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Cervoni trying to control but Johnson is having none of it. Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cervoni. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Johnson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Cervoni has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cervoni trying to control but Johnson is having none of it. Cervoni will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Cervoni tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cervoni landing strikes, looking to finish! The referee warns Johnson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Cervoni controlling from the full mount. Johnson's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cervoni lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Johnson blocking the ground and pound. Johnson tries to buck Cervoni off but he can't manage it. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cervoni cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
A nice elbow there by Cervoni. Cervoni moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Johnson has worked his arm free - good work by Johnson!
Cervoni in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cervoni has hold of Johnson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Johnson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Cervoni cranks the arm and Johnson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Johnson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Johnny Cervoni!
