Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marc Guifre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iroquois Pliskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marc Guifre!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Iroquois Pliskin!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Guifre blocks the leg kick.
Guifre shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Guifre unloading with bombs!
Guifre has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Pliskin's face.

Guifre goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Pliskin is on top in guard.
Guifre looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Guifre controls Pliskin momentarily but Pliskin frees himself.
Guifre is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pliskin is aware though and is defending well.

Guifre is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Pliskin tries to stand but Guifre is controlling from the bottom.
Guifre bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pliskin's guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Guifre drops back, looking for a kneebar! Pliskin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Pliskin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pliskin!

Guifre is trying to get back to half guard.

Pliskin is looking to take a break and control but Guifre is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Guifre is looking to regain half guard here but Pliskin keeps moving and retains side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Guifre makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Guifre.

Pliskin throws a sloppy head kick and Guifre moves out of range easily.
Horrible takedown by Guifre or perhaps it was just good defense by Pliskin which made him look bad.
Pliskin leaves Guifre with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guifre shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Pliskin as he avoids it easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Guifre misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Guifre looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Pliskin wants to improve his position but Guifre is controlling well.
Guifre takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Guifre is working for a kimura but Pliskin is defending it quite comfortably.
Pliskin is looking to control Guifre's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Pliskin avoid being mounted?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guifre thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Pliskin's head.
Guifre looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pliskin with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Guifre wants to work for an arm triangle but Pliskin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Guifre misses with a head shot. Pliskin uses the momentum to regain guard.
Guifre postures up in Pliskin's guard and throws a big left but Pliskin blocks it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marc Guifre will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Guifre lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Guifre is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pliskin defends it well.
Guifre looks to land a strike but Pliskin avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Pliskin is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Pliskin might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Guifre kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Guifre is looking to work some ground and pound but Pliskin has wrist control.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Guifre, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
