Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between JD Turkelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alejandro Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has chosen Sick Puppies - You're Going Down as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, JD Turkelton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alejandro Silva! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turkelton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side. Silva tries to clinch there but Turkelton circles away.
Silva checks the leg kick. Turkelton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard. Turkelton stands and steps away. Silva gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Turkelton keeps the fight on the outside. Turkelton throws a push kick but Silva slaps the foot to one side. Silva is looking to clinch but Turkelton is avoiding it.
Silva tries to clinch but Turkelton moves out of range. Silva tries to clinch up. Turkelton keeps the fight on the outside. Turkelton closes the distance and clinches. Turkelton tries a body shot but Silva blocks it.

Silva lands a nice knee to the body. Turkelton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Silva smiles and moves away.
Silva looks to clinch and Turkelton counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Silva is trying to stand back up but Turkelton is controlling him
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is refusing to be controlled, as Turkelton sits in half guard. Silva gets back to full guard.

Turkelton is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him. Silva seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Silva manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Turkelton misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JD Turkelton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Turkelton circles away from the clinch attempt and Turkelton counters with a single leg into guard. Silva didn't expect that. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Turkelton is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Turkelton won't allow Silva to get back to his feet. Turkelton looking to pass the guard. Silva is trying to control the position but Turkelton postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Turkelton trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Silva closes the distance but Turkelton moves to the side and Turkelton counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard. Silva controls Turkelton momentarily but Turkelton frees himself. Turkelton won't allow Silva to sweep him here. Silva wants to hit a switch here but Turkelton passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Silva there! Turkelton prevents Silva from getting the reversal. Turkelton trying to control but Silva is having none of it. Silva tries to hold on but Turkelton postures up. Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turkelton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Turkelton trying to control but Silva is having none of it. Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Turkelton scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Silva?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Turkelton wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely. Turkelton working Silva over with strikes here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Turkelton tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Silva paws at him with a jab and circles away. Silva tries to clinch and Turkelton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard. JD Turkelton overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Silva keeping moving, preventing Turkelton from controlling successfully. Turkelton looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Silva trying to control the position.

It looks like JD Turkelton has been cut. Turkelton blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Turkelton tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Turkelton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Turkelton trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Turkelton looking for a sweep. Not yet Turkelton, not yet. Silva trying to control but Turkelton is working from the bottom. Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Turkelton is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Turkelton doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Turkelton is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Silva is defending against the submission attempts here by Turkelton.

Alejandro Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on JD Turkelton's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Turkelton throws a leg kick but Silva sees it coming and checks it nicely. Turkelton circles away from the clinch attempt and Turkelton counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that. Silva tries to improve position but can't. Turkelton is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Silva is looking to reverse the position. Turkelton is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Silva struggling a bit here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Turkelton is looking to clinch. Turkelton looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Silva is fending him off so far but Turkelton persists. Nope, Silva circles away and we're back to standing. Turkelton has closed the distance and engaged Silva in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Silva gets underhooks to prevent Turkelton's takedown attempt.

Turkelton is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Silva - that's hurt Turkelton badly! Oh, another knee lands and Turkelton is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Turkelton doesn't seem to be complaining.
