Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Valadez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, David Valadez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Miller!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valadez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Valadez tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range.
Miller will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Miller gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Valadez is looking to work some ground and pound but Miller has wrist control.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

No joy there for Valadez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Miller drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Valadez counters with a nice double leg into side control. Miller won't be happy with that.

Miller scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Miller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Valadez's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Miller leaves Valadez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Valadez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Miller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Valadez feints and as Miller raises his hands in defense, Valadez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Miller pushes Valadez off and scrambles back to his feet.
Valadez is looking to slow Miller down with leg kicks.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fight stays on the outside here - Miller looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That was a close round but I would say that David Valadez will probably get the nod.

Valadez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Miller tries to avoid it but Valadez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Miller to the ground. Miller escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Miller got a little sloppy there for a moment and Valadez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Miller has managed to get both his arms back between Valadez's legs - danger averted.

Valadez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Valadez showed some decent athleticism there.

Valadez seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Valadez wants to free his trapped foot but Miller is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Valadez takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Miller lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Miller stalks Valadez and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Valadez's face. Valadez staggers backwards, shaken.

Miller is staying active underneath Valadez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Valadez cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

I would just about give that final round to Steve Miller.
