Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Santiago Huerta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dior May (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Santiago Huerta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dior May! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! May drives through with a takedown into guard. Huerta is looking to stand up but May isn't so interested in that idea. May scoring with punches to the head and body. Huerta is looking for a triangle but May pushes his legs off easily.
Huerta had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. May defends it easily. May won't allow Huerta to sweep him here. May gets to his feet. Huerta looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! May tries to clinch but Huerta is having none of it. May tries to close the distance and clinch but Huerta swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. May shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Huerta napping and manages to drive through into side control! May wants to control but Huerta is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huerta regains half guard. Huerta is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but May pulls his head out easily. May throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. May thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. May moves nicely into side control. May trying to control the action but Huerta is working from the bottom. Huerta is looking to regain half guard here but May keeps moving and retains side control. May has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. May working away. Huerta is looking to regain half guard here but May keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. May closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Huerta to the mat! Huerta manages to get full guard. Huerta has his foot on May's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. May works his way back into a safe position though. May distracts Huerta with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. May postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. May is in close to Huerta's body, working some short punches and elbows. May has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Huerta is proving hard to escape from. May controls the pace of the fight for a moment. May drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and May jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. May looks gassed! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Huerta avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Huerta is trying to keep May in close.
That's three minutes gone in the round. May lands a couple of elbows. Mayis looking to pass into half guard but Huerta pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Huerta is in guard. May working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Huerta. Huerta trying to control the position from guard on top but May is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from May. May throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Huerta is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Huerta slips a jab and a cross from May.
Huerta shoots in but May avoids the takedown attempt easily. Huerta tries to clinch but May is having none of it. Huerta misses with a takedown attempt and May counters by clinching up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dior May dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Huerta shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with May but May pushes him off and we're back to square one. Huerta tries to close the distance and clinch but May swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. May gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Huerta counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Huerta rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but May moves out of range and avoids them all easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. May shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. May lands a big shot there that rocks Huerta but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
May cracks Huerta with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huerta wants to hold on but May pushes him away. May with the ground and pound from mount.
Huerta is rocked! May drops a big elbow. That's hurt Huerta! More shots from May and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dior May!
