Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gus Bombardier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tigran Petrosian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gus Bombardier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tigran Petrosian!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrosian is looking to clinch.
Petrosian wants to clinch up but Bombardier keeps it at a distance.
Petrosian throws a series of punches but Bombardier avoids them all with ease.

Petrosian has managed to clinch.
Petrosian fails to pull guard.
Bombardier scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Petrosian manages to break the clinch.

Petrosian changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bombardier looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Bombardier is looking to regain half guard here but Petrosian keeps moving and retains side control.
Bombardier tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Petrosian presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Petrosian prevents Bombardier from improving his position.
Bombardier is working hard here to advance position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bombardier is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Petrosian's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Petrosian's back!
Petrosian staying busy and making it hard for Bombardier to control.

Petrosian defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Bombardier's arms.
Bombardier is trying to stick to Petrosian's back but Petrosian is turning into Bombardier. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bombardier's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Petrosian.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Petrosian passes Bombardier's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Bombardier avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Petrosian.
Petrosian stops Bombardier from getting back to his feet.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Petrosian lands a nice short elbow.
Bombardier is breathing heavily.
Petrosian is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Bombardier on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Petrosian passes to full mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Petrosian sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
I looks like Petrosian might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Bombardier is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Petrosian putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

Bombardier takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Petrosian controlling his opponent.
Let's hope that Petrosian has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petrosian is landing with some decent strikes but Bombardier is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tigran Petrosian dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Petrosian tries to clinch but Bombardier is having none of it.
Petrosian wants to clinch up but Bombardier keeps it at a distance.
Petrosian doesn't manage to clinch there - Bombardier circles away.
Petrosian stuffs the takedown attempt from Bombardier. Bombardier gets slowly back to his feet.
Petrosian lands with a kick to the temple. Bombardier shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Gus Bombardier has been cut.
Petrosian wants to clinch.
Tigran Petrosian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bombardier avoids the head kick by Petrosian.

Petrosian shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Petrosian showed some decent athleticism there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bombardier is looking to escape.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Petrosian prevents Bombardier from improving his position.
Petrosian takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Petrosian working the head and body with strikes.
Petrosian trying to control the pace.
Petrosian's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Petrosian is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Bombardier is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Tigran Petrosian!
