Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Suarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Unnu Koc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Unnu Koc will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ernesto Suarez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Unnu Koc! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Emerson Jorge and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Suarez decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Koc is rocked! Koc looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Suarez seems to be looking for submissions.
Koc is still in real trouble! Can Suarez finish him? Suarez is looking to take a break and control but Koc is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Koc seems to have recovered his senses. Koc wants to improve his position but Suarez is controlling well.
Suarez trying to control from Koc's half guard. Koc has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Suarez is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Suarez trying to control but Koc is working from the bottom. Koc can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Suarez controls the pace. Suarez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Suarez passes Koc's left leg - he's now in half guard. Koc tries to roll over but Suarez keeps him under control. Suarez wants to work for an arm triangle but Koc is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Koc tries to roll over but Suarez keeps him under control. Suarez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Suarez passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Koc! Koc tries to hold on but Suarez pushes him away. Suarez trying to control but Koc is having none of it. Suarez is working for a guillotine from mount but Koc frees his head quite easily.
Koc tries to get back to half guard but can't. Suarez controlling from mount. Koc stops Suarez from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better. Suarez has control of Koc's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Koc regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Suarez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Koc can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Koc is controlling an arm, preventing Suarez from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Suarez mounts Koc! Really nice guard pass there! Koc is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Suarez has control of Koc's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Koc regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Suarez wants to control the pace but Koc is squirming around nicely. Koc chipping away with body shots but they're not going to hurt Suarez.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Suarez stands up from mount. Strange move. Suarez shoots in but Koc avoids the takedown attempt easily. Koc closes the distance and lands a one-two. Suarez shoots in and bounces Koc off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Suarez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Suarez is working hard here to advance position. Suarez pushing down on Koc's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Suarez uses his free foot to push down on Koc's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Koc. Suarez fails to take his opponent's back. Suarez lands with some strikes. Suarez is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Koc is surviving well by controlling Suarez's body position as best he can. Suarez is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Koc is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Koc flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Suarez anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Koc and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Suarez slips an arm under Koc chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Suarez has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Suarez is squeezing on Koc like an anaconda would it's prey. Koc fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
