The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparring Partner will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Wright misses with a takedown
and Sparring Partner counters with a shoot takedown. Wright fights it but they end up in guard.
Sparring Partner stands and throws Wright's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sparring Partner throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Wright knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sparring Partner on the ground.
Sparring Partner with the ground and pound but Wright regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Wright wants to improve his position but Sparring Partner is controlling well.
Sparring Partner throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Wright won't allow Sparring Partner to pass to mount.
Sparring Partner is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sparring Partner drops back looking for a leg! Wright is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Wright manages to kick Sparring Partner off! Sparring Partner jumps back into Wright's guard.
Sparring Partner throws a strike but Wright rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Wright wants to control from the top but Sparring Partner keeps moving.

so Sparring Partner counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Sparring Partner looking to sit in guard and control but Wright gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Sparring Partner is looking for a triangle but Wright pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sparring Partner tries to reverse the position but Wright maintains control.

Will Sparring Partner has got the better of the ground game so far.

Wright landing strikes, looking to finish!
Wright wants to control the pace but Sparring Partner is squirming around nicely.
Sparring Partner slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Sparring Partner wants to control but Wright is keeping busy.
Wright is looking to take a break and control but Sparring Partner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Sparring Partner wants to improve his position but Wright is controlling well.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Wright is pressing down on Sparring Partner's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sparring Partner is holding on for now.
Wright wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sparring Partner keeps working.
Wright prevents Sparring Partner from improving his position.
Wright seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sparring Partner does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Wright throws a push kick but Sparring Partner slaps the foot to one side.
Wright swats away the attempt to clinch by Sparring Partner.
Wright keeps the fight on the outside.
Wright closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wright lands in his opponent's guard.
Wright is sitting in close to Sparring Partner's body. Sparring Partner has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Wright is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Wright is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Sparring Partner.
