Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Nott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Chuck Liddell will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aaron Nott! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Liddell! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nott pushes Liddell up against the cage in a clinch. Nott keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Liddell's efforts to push away. Nott creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Liddell's defenses. Liddell gets control of Nott's arms and successfully pulls guard. Liddell will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Nott gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Nott circles away from the clinch attempt and Nott counters by moving into the clinch. Liddell successfully pulls guard.
Nott stands up from Liddell's guard - Nott perhaps looking for a knockout. Aaron Nott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liddell throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Liddell tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Nott moves into the clinch. Liddell takes a knee to the side of the body. Liddell looks gassed! Both guys are working to get underhooks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nott has hold of one of Liddell's legs. Liddell is fighting the takedown attempt but Nott gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Nott stands and steps away. Liddell gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. The fighters circle momentarily. Nott darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Nott has Liddell up against the cage in a clinch.
Nott has picked Liddell up - he's going for a ride! Nott dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nott with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Liddell has hold of Nott's hands but Nott slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Nice strikes from Nott there. Nott is taking a breather. Liddell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Nott is keen to just control but Liddell is a slippery customer. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Liddell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Nott working Liddell over with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Nott. Nott scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Liddell is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nott scores with a couple of nice shots. Nott has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Nott controlling the pace. Liddell wants to control but Nott is keeping busy and won't allow it. Nott working the head and body with strikes. Nott is thwarting Liddell's attempts to control the position. Nott perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Nott stands up out of the half guard. Nott connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nott forces Liddell back against the cage and clinches. Nott comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Liddell takes an elbow to the forehead. Nott softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Nott lands on the inside with an uppercut. Knees to the body from Nott.

Liddell tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Nott avoids it. Liddell tries to pull guard but Nott won't allow it.

Liddell is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Liddell throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Nott is looking to work some ground and pound but Liddell has wrist control. Liddell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nott's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nott is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nott wants to stand up but Liddell is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Nott dominated that round. That's time! Nott's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Liddell goes for a takedown attempt but Nott pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nott moves into the clinch. Nott working Liddell over with knees to the body. Nott lands an elbow just above Liddell 's eye. A knee to the head by Nott.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nott breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nott throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nott has Liddell up against the cage in a clinch.
Nott escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nott's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Nott duly obliges. Nott closes the distance and clinches. Nott is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Nott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nott is looking to clinch but Liddell is avoiding it.
Liddell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Liddell dodges the punch combination from Nott.
Liddell tries to clinch but Nott moves away and Nott decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Liddell's guard. Liddell avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell keeping moving, preventing Nott from controlling successfully. Nott throwing strikes from guard but Liddell blocks nicely. Nott chips away with some ground and pound. Liddell wants to get back to his feet but Nott is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Liddell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nott's guard. Nott is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Liddell can do to turn this around? Liddell would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Nott manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Liddell manages to get himself to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nott postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Nott stands up from Liddell's guard - Nott perhaps looking for a knockout. Liddell looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Nott! A nice elbow there by Liddell. Liddell is looking to stand but Liddell has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Nott tries to lock up and control but Liddell gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nott is looking to improve his position but Liddell isn't that keen on the idea. Nott is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nott is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Liddell working for the choke. Nott manages to escape to his feet. Nott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Aaron Nott dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Liddell gets a clinch. Liddell tries to circle away but Nott has him pinned against the cage. Liddell takes an elbow to the temple. Liddell tries to break free but Nott pushes him back against the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Nott obliges. Nott landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Aaron Nott overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nott chips away with some ground and pound. Liddell working for a triangle but Nott defends it easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nott slips nicely into half guard. Nott takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Liddell is pressing down on Nott's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Liddell looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nott is one step ahead there. Liddell trying to keep a closed guard but Nott is proving a slippery customer.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nott lands a couple of digs. Liddell is trying to keep Nott in close.
Nott prevents Liddell from getting back to his feet. Liddell manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Liddell throws a lazy head kick and Nott decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Liddell's guard. Nott scoring with punches to the head and body. Nott working some strikes from top position. Nott chips away with some ground and pound. Nott trying to control but Liddell is working from the bottom. Liddell trying to keep a closed guard but Nott is proving a slippery customer.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Liddell blocks a head kick by Nott.
Aaron Nott is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Liddell scores with a nice head shot. Nott doesn't manage to clinch there - Liddell circles away.
A good leg kick by Nott. Liddell fails with the takedown and Nott counters by moving into the clinch. Liddell wants to stall.
Nott lands an elbow inside. Nott throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Liddell jumps guard but Nott stands there with Liddell around his waist. Liddell gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Nott crunches a lovely knee into Liddell's ribcage. Chuck Liddell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Aaron Nott is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nott unloads a knee to the mid-section.
And that's the end of the fight! Aaron Nott showed his dominance in that final round. Well Nott has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
