The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kendrick shoots in for a double leg but hansen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kendrick closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. hansen did well to prevent Kendrick getting side control.
Kendrick seems to be looking for submissions.
hansen wants to control but Kendrick is keeping busy.
hansen wants to get back to full guard.

hansen reaches up to try and control the position but Kendrick seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! hansen rolls and tries to escape and now Kendrick has his back!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kendrick is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. hansen is defending well though. Kendrick let's go of the attempt for now.
hansen rolls, trying to escape but Kendrick keeps control of the position.
hansen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kendrick on the ground.
