Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zaq Wu Sang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Uri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zaq Wu Sang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zaq Wu Sang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sam Uri!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wu Sang uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Uri.
Wu Sang displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Uri throws out the jab.
Uri swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Uri defending well as Wu Sang loads up on a big left hand.
Uri misses with a hook.
Uri avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Uri lands a right hook to the body.
Wu Sang lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Sam Uri has been cut.

Wu Sang shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wu Sang showed some decent athleticism there.
Uri is looking to improve his position.

Uri is controlling an arm, preventing Wu Sang from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Uri drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wu Sang dives on top into guard.

Uri is just holding on here. Wu Sang manages to take his back.
Wu Sang lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Wu Sang is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Uri defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Wu Sang has the hooks in. Uri is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Wu Sang decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Uri tries to get to full guard but Wu Sang has control of the leg.
Wu Sang wants to free his trapped foot but Uri is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Wu Sang tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wu Sang cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Uri tries to control Wu Sang's body but Wu Sang pushes him off. Uri squirms to his side and now Wu Sang has his back!

Wu Sang just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Uri tries to roll but Wu Sang sticks to his back.
The referee is taking a good look at Uri as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Wu Sang!
Wu Sang has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Uri tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Zaq Wu Sang overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Uri tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Wu Sang can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Uri is looking to escape.

Wu Sang's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Wu Sang's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Uri turns into Wu Sang and is now in his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Uri drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wu Sang manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Uri has Wu Sang in his guard.

Wu Sang drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wu Sang jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wu Sang shoots in looking for a takedown. Uri tries to sprawl out of it but Wu Sang keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Uri manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Uri cracks Wu Sang with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Wu Sang looks to throw the jab but Uri is out of range.
Zaq Wu Sang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wu Sang tries to bum rush Uri with a series of wild strikes but Uri uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wu Sang throws a combination. Uri tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Wu Sang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

and Uri counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Uri just misses with a punch to the body.

No joy there for Uri, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Uri throws a lazy right hand but Wu Sang sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Wu Sang closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Wu Sang is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Uri is looking for a sweep. Wu Sang is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Uri is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Uri is refusing to be controlled, as Wu Sang sits in half guard.
Wu Sang prevents Uri from improving his position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sam Uri has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Wu Sang drops back looking for a leg! Uri is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Uri manages to kick Wu Sang off! Wu Sang jumps back into Uri's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sam Uri comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Wu Sang has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
