Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Rogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quinton Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogan lands a high kick!
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rogan doesn't manage to clinch there - Jackson circles away.
Jackson keeps the fight on the outside.
Rogan moves in looking to clinch but Jackson pushes him off.
Rogan tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jackson throws a nice looking combination but Rogan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Rogan shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jackson tries to clinch there but Rogan circles away.
Jackson swats away the attempt to clinch by Rogan.
Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Rogan doesn't manage to clinch there - Jackson circles away.

Jackson clinches with his opponent.
Rogan throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Jackson blocks it with crossed arms.
Jackson dodges an elbow strike from Rogan.
Rogan tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Rogan connects with a nasty looking knee right to Jackson's face.
Jackson avoiding damage as Rogan throws knees to the body.
Rogan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jackson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jackson pulls guard effortlessly.
Rogan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rogan trying to stand up but can't free himself from Jackson's guard.
Rogan trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jackson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Rogan wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Rogan closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Rogan pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Rogan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rogan wants to clinch but Jackson slips to the side
and Jackson counters with a straight right hand.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jackson looks gassed!
Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rogan tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rogan to the ground. Rogan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rogan shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rogan blocks the body kick.
Rogan closes the distance and clinches up with Jackson, looking for a takedown. Rogan pushes Jackson against the cage but Jackson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rogan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jackson shoots in and bounces Rogan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jackson tries to stand but Rogan is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Rogan is retaining full guard.

Jackson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Jackson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Rogan is really struggling to control Jackson but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rogan doesn't manage to clinch there - Jackson circles away.
Jackson lands with a nice combination. Rogan backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Joe Rogan has been cut.

Jackson clinches up against the cage.

Jackson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Rogan regains guard.
Rogan controls Jackson momentarily but Jackson frees himself.
Jackson sitting in guard here, content to control.
Rogan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jackson misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Rogan is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rogan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jackson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson is trying to get back to full guard.
Rogan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Jackson tries to kick Rogan off but Rogan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Rogan uses his free foot to push down on Jackson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Jackson.
Rogan tries to control but Jackson wriggling away.
Rogan avoids the attempt from Jackson to control.
Rogan with a couple of short strikes.
Rogan controlling his opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rogan trying to control but Jackson is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Quinton Jackson dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rogan wants to clinch.
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Rogan tries to clinch up
letting Jackson counter with a right hand.
Rogan darts in trying to clinch
and Jackson counters with a three punch combo that has Rogan backing up. Rogan nods at Jackson to acknowledge the strikes.
Rogan looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rogan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A head kick from Rogan lands but Jackson takes it in his stride.
Rogan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rogan tries to clinch but Jackson is having none of it.
Jackson connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Rogan tumbling to the canvas! Jackson pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Rogan was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Quinton Jackson!
