Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Dutra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniel Dutra! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Silva! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dutra tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes. Dutra looks to land a body kick but Silva moved away. Dutra motions for Silva to come forward. Dutra throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Silva fails in his attempt to clinch. Dutra avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dutra has Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Dutra breaks the clinch.
Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dutra to score an easy takedown into full guard. Silva wants to stand up but Dutra is controlling him. Dutra's corner is telling him to maintain position. Dutra won't allow Silva to sweep him here. Silva is working an open guard so Dutra takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Dutra closes the distance and clinches. Silva pressing his opponent against the cage. Dutra breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Dutra counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's one minute gone in the round. Dutra is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Silva wants to sweep here but Dutra controlling him for the moment. Dutra controlling from the top position. Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dutra throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dutra sitting in guard, not really doing much. Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dutra is one step ahead there. Dutra controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Dutra stops Silva from standing up. Dutra decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Dutra is breathing heavily. Silva gets a clinch. Dutra tries to break free but Silva pushes him back against the cage. Silva can't get the takedown.
Silva prevents Dutra from breaking the clinch. Dutra tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Silva throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dutra blocks it with crossed arms. Silva changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Dutra fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably letting Dutra counter with a right hand. Dutra throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably and Dutra counters with a nice double leg into guard. Silva striking off his back but it's not causing Dutra any problems. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dutra sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva keeping moving, preventing Dutra from controlling successfully. Silva is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dutra trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Silva doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Silva scores with a push kick. Silva pushes Dutra away with a front kick. A head kick misses from Dutra.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Silva pushes Dutra up against the cage in a clinch. Silva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dutra walks away with a smile on his face. Silva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Daniel Dutra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Silva. Silva has closed the distance and engaged Dutra in a clinch.

Silva pulls guard effortlessly. Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Dutra is one step ahead there. Dutra is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Silva trying to strike off his back.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Dutra's corner is telling him to maintain position. Dutra wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Dutra is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Silva is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daniel Dutra dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Silva is looking to clinch. Silva buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Silva looks to land a combination. Dutra sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Silva tries to clinch up. Silva closes the distance looking to clinch and Dutra counters with a two punch combo. Silva clinches but Dutra breaks the clinch and Dutra counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silva's guard now. Dutra slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dutra content to stall in guard here. Silva wants to sweep but no luck. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Silva tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Dutra connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Silva scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dutra swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dutra falls off balance throwing a combination
and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Dutra breaks the clinch.
Silva pushes Dutra away with a front kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dutra paws at him with a jab and circles away. Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Dutra circles away.
A cross from Dutra lands. Daniel Dutra is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Dutra tries to clinch up. Dutra is looking to land body kicks. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dutra. Silva clinches but Dutra breaks the clinch and Dutra counters with a body kick. Dutra shoots for a takedown but Silva saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Dutra circles away from the clinch attempt.

Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Silva has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dutra is working away from the top position though. Dutra is taking a breather. Silva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Daniel Dutra overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Silva working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Silva looking to sit in guard and control but Dutra gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Daniel Dutra is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dutra is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Silva keeping moving, preventing Dutra from controlling successfully. Dutra is looking to stand up but Silva won't let him.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Dutra. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dutra, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
