Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raimo Vassari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silky Slapyaface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slapyaface throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Slapyaface ducks under a wild hook from Vassari.
Vassari keeps the fight on the outside.
Slapyaface clinches up with Vassari and pushes him back against the cage.
Vassari tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Slapyaface smiles and moves away.
Slapyaface fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vassari shoots in but Slapyaface avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Slapyaface is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Slapyaface uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vassari.
Vassari circles away from the clinch attempt.
Vassari closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Vassari cracks Slapyaface with a big elbow.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vassari thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Slapyaface parries the strikes from Vassari easily there. Vassari is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Slapyaface to escape.
Slapyaface tries to buck Vassari off but Vassari is having none of it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Slapyaface tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vassari paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Raimo Vassari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
