Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jhon Holmes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Holmes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Bodies, by Drowning Pool. Davis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Revolution is My Name. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut lands for Holmes. That snapped Davis's head back.
Holmes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Davis forces Holmes back against the ropes and clinches.
Holmes with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Davis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Holmes blocks it with crossed arms.
Davis looking to stall.
Davis is trying to trip Holmes. He has hold of a leg but Holmes is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Davis persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Holmes keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully.
Holmes throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Holmes wants to sweep but no luck.
Davis controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Davis trying to control but Holmes is working from the bottom.
Holmes tries to strike from the bottom.
Holmes striking off his back but it's not causing Davis any problems.
Holmes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Holmes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Holmes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Davis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Davis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Holmes trying to keep a closed guard but Davis is proving a slippery customer.
Holmes tries to strike from the bottom.
Holmes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Davis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Holmes striking off his back but it's not causing Davis any problems.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Davis takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Davis tries to close the distance and clinch but Holmes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Davis doesn't manage to clinch there - Holmes circles away.
Holmes goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Gary Davis has been cut.
Davis looks gassed!
A jab from Holmes finds it's way through Davis's defenses.
Jhon Holmes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Davis swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Holmes moves into the clinch.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Davis throws an elbow but misses.
Holmes looking to throw knees to the head but Davis is blocking nicely.
Holmes breaks the clinch.
A punch combination from Holmes misses.
Holmes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Davis moves forwards but Holmes connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Holmes cracks Davis with an open hand slap.

Holmes wants to clinch
and Davis counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Holmes throws a series of strikes that have Davis backpedaling.
Holmes scores with a sloppy right hand. Davis should have avoided that one.
Davis is rocked!
Holmes fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Davis square on the jaw! Damn, Davis is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
