Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Javier Navarro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Greer Morimune!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Navarro looks to land a left hand but Morimune moved out of range nicely.
Navarro motions for Morimune to come forward. Navarro throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Morimune uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Navarro.
Navarro bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Navarro throws a hook but Morimune blocks it.
Navarro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Morimune sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Navarro somewhat.

Morimune manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Navarro manages to get himself to full guard.

Javier Navarro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Morimune tries for a takedown but Navarro sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Greer Morimune seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Morimune shoots in for a takedown but Navarro shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Morimune feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Morimune is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Navarro gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Morimune counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Navarro's guard now.

Morimune drops back looking for a leg! Navarro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Navarro manages to kick Morimune off! Morimune jumps back into Navarro's guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Navarro pulls Morimune in close to prevent any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Greer Morimune showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Morimune throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Navarro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Morimune counters with a good low kick that Navarro was not able to check.

Morimune changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Navarro looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Morimune thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Morimune is looking to take a break and control but Navarro is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Morimune is trying to get an arm triangle but Navarro is defending well.
Morimune tries to move into full mount but can't pass Navarro's legs.

Well Morimune has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
